Our Splashing Sunday

Who doesn't love Sunday? There is nothing better than waking up on a sunny Sunday morning and taking a lovely morning walk, (especially if you can see lovely grey clouds on the horizon).

Now, I don't know about you, but Nathaniel is someone who likes to go out every day. It doesn't have to be anywhere particularly exciting, but none the less we have to leave the house or he gets cabin fever. We used to have a few problems in winter due to he hated any sort of hood or hat and hated welly boots, but thank fully we managed to find a balaclava and wellies that he loves!

Little did Nathaniel realise how much more fun going out is when Mum or Dad isn't stopping him jumping in puddles or walking on muddy grass if he wore wellies! I picked this Navy Classic pair of Hunter boots on Very for £32. I know you can find cheaper wellington boots for toddlers else where, but I was worried whether they would leave him with sore feet and after buying them, I cannot complain at all! They are such a good pair of wellington boots. Nathaniel would cry and shout if I put him in any other pair, even Thomas the Tank Engine designed shoes which is his favourite thing!

I would 100% recommend these to any parent having similar problems with the toddler refusing to put wellies on their feet.

(See Nathaniel, Mumma promised wellies were fun.)

"Yay a low flying airplane"

The balaclava is also the life saver of hats. Since Nathaniel realised how he could take a hat off his head, he has always taken anything off his head, hoods, hats, sun glasses, you name it, he wasn't having it. I think Ben and I got to the point we were becoming more worried about winter and his ears etc if we couldn't find something that he would wear. I've played with the idea of getting a balaclava for a while for him but I couldn't find one quite right anywhere. Thankfully JoJo Maman Bebe sold this one and it was like magic. Okay, he did try and take it off a few times but when he realised it was to stay on, Nathaniel now seems to love it! I would really recommend one and they ever come in different colours and they wash really well.

Nathaniel and I seem to be making friends with this cat every time we go past him. It's so funny to see Nathaniel's reaction as he's never really been around pets!
Anyway, I just wanted to share a typical Sunday morning for us and some life saver clothing we've discovered with Nathaniel to get us through this colder months.

What are your Sunday mornings like?
Have you tried any of these products before?

Love S x
